Ounce celebrates Week of the Young Child

The Ounce of Prevention Fund marked the national Week of the Young Child with a children's parade at Educare of Chicago and by taking early childhood advocates to Springfield to speak out against proposed budget cuts.

Nearly 200 advocates from across Illinois will join in Springfield on April 14 for Early Childhood Advocacy Day. Given the state's budget woes, it is more important than ever for families and providers to tell their legislators about the importance of early learning programs.
