From Illinois to Washington: The Politics of Early Childhood - January 15, 2009On the eve of the new Obama administration, Harriet Meyer, President of the Ounce of Prevention Fund, and Cornelia Grumman, Executive Director of the First Five Years Fund, led an engaging discussion on potential policy and funding changes in the early childhood education landscape. More than 40 people attended the event, which also provided an opportunity to talk about how the work in Illinois is influencing national policies and bringing about new opportunities for early childhood in the state.
