University of Chicago Nobel Laureate Economist James Heckman, Ph.D. shared his research on the economic benefits from human capital investments in the very young. Ounce Board Member J.B. Pritzker offered his perspective on the strategic importance of business and philanthropic efforts to ensure that education policies and funding decisions include the first years of a child's life.
