Early Childhood Advocacy Day 2011
At the Ounce's largest Early Childhood Advocacy Day yet, 250 advocates came together in Springfield April 7 to speak up for young children in Illinois. Teachers, program directors, parents, students and other supporters asked their state legislators to protect early childhood funding in the budget.
View photos of the day on our Facebook page and watch the videos, below, to see Lt. Gov. Sheila Simon, who welcomed the advocates to Springfield, and hear what participants had to say about their experience.
